YES WE DID !!!!

Thanks to everyone that voted! WE DID IT! We elected the Democratic Party Candidate for President of the United States of America, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!!! In the process we made history by electing our nations first black president. I did not understand how profound this was until the very moment that it happened. I am truly grateful, that I was able to help in my small corner of the earth. So, all of you community organizers and community activists, take heart. As President-elect Obama likes to say," one person can change a room, a city, a state, a country, a world - let's go change the world!" YES WE CAN !!!!

I spent November 4, 2008 with the Obama Protect the Vote team in Northwest Philadelphia. I have posted pictures - our line was almost a block long at 6:30 a.m. - and we had a steady turn-out all day long. I drove back to Maryland when the polls closed and watched the returns with my mother, Christine A. Kennard - we cried, talked to other family members and praised God from whom ALL blessings flow.
