2008 Democratic Convention

Thank you Maryland for allowing me to represent you at the historic Democratic Convention held August 25-28, 2008 in Denver, Colorado. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be up close and personal with such a ground-breaking movement. "I woudn't take nothing for the journey" I cast my vote as your Democratic committeewoman fo An African-American to be the Democratic Party's nominee for President of the United States. I paid homage to the spirit of Fannie Lou Hamer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKXoXwYpzmU

2008 Democratic Convention

My sister Beverly and I arrived in Denver on Sunday morning, August 24, 2008. We are staying at the Maryland Delegation hotel and got an opportunity to see a little bit of downtown Denver when I joined U.S. Congresswoman Donna Edwards to participate in a live webcast of a town hall meeting hosted by Laura Flanders. We visited the Huffington Post Oasis and did a little relaxing yesterday afternoon.
